Le Prêcheur
Along the black sandy beach, you can see all the houses with different colors and shapes, peacefully the time goes through the languid coconut palms. Prêcheur has a micro-climat the sunniest of Martinique, occuping a valuable choice among the villages the most picturesque of the island.
Last town of the north coast, Prêcheur is not a town that you only go through, but a town to visit with a curious unusual spirit.
The oldest bell tower of Martinique is in Prêcheur and has also its celebrity : Madam de Maintenon who was married to the Sun-King (Louis XVI) and passed her childhood in Prêcheur.
At the village you can also discover many wild Coves between Prêcheur and Grand-Rivière, by boat conducted by a pure fisherman.
Leaving “Pomme Cannelle” discover Grand Savane and touch the sky in mountain Pelée heights.
There’s also a waterfall which makes you feel that you are in Paradise.
